Our Dapple Hut is a Blackdown made and consists of two joined shepherd huts, with a totally opulent luxury interior and decking outside which is the home to a William Holland Copper Bath.

In the front hut, you have a stable door looking out on the glorious Blackdown Hills. This shepherd hut houses the kitchen, bench and table with a stargazer roof over, lots of comfy lounge seating and views out of every window.

The rear hut (we like to call it the celestial boudoir!) is a beautifully appointed bedroom, with a built-in bed from Naturalmat and a starlit LED ceiling – lay in bed and dream you are galaxies away.

Hi, we’re Andrew and Emma, and together with our family, we live on a small farm estate on the Blackdown Hills in Somerset, which we’d love to share with you. Listed in the Domesday book, it’s an historic place, so that’s partly why we chose Shepherd Huts for our glamping business – as it combines heritage with luxury.

You can expect a private getaway location with en-suite facilities and a full-sized double bed – plus a wood-fired hot tub, garden oven and firepit. We are perfectly located for walking on the Blackdown Hills and with Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast just 30 minutes drive away, you can hideaway or venture out – the choice is yours…

Parking: We have parking on site which is free to use.

Kitchen: We have an electric hob, fridge and small belfast sink within the hut – and we supply a starter pack of oils, vinegars, sauces and basic spices, tea and coffee. The copper topped kitchen is a real treat and is perfect for couples dining in. All essential utensils and crockery are provided.

Electronics: A hair dryer and a kettle.

Bathroom: You have a shower room and a luxury slipper bath with towels, luxury shower treats, and a hair dryer provided.

Bedroom: A bespoke, stand alone bed created by Naturalmat with a headboard which matches the curve of the roof, which has a glass roof panel. Opposite the bed, is a William Holland slipper bath on a raised platform.

Heating: Log wood burning stove

Outdoor: We have an outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired garden oven and a washing up area. We have a copper bath on the outside decking.
