Our brace shepherds hut is based on our working arable farm at the foot of the North Downs, a short drive from Canterbury. With accomodation for up to 4 adults and a small child, the hut boasts a kitchenette, dining and living area with a TV mirror, cosy log burner and heating plus a toilet/shower room. Dark starry skies can be viewed from one sleeping area and twinkling lights above the other for a truly magical feel. Outside at the rear of the hut in a private fenced area, the wood fired hot tub, pizza oven, barbeque fire-pit and picnic table await- surrounded by festoon lights and lanterns – overlooking the stunningly beautiful views of the local Kentish countryside.

After growing up on the family farm, Robert joined his father at the age of 16 and he and Catherine, a registered nurse, have been living at the farm with their 3 children for the last 20 years.  After years of caring for sheep, cows and pigs, Robert together with their son George are now only arable farming with a few pigs, dogs and chickens in the mix! They have also started their own craft cider business, Canterbury Cider and are happy to include a couple of bottles for their guests and the opportunity to purchase more during their stay. Robert enjoys conservation, promotion of wildflower meadows and sharing his local and farming knowledge with guests. He can also offer, at an additional cost, a tour of our farm.
