Set within 100 acres of woodland and gardens in County Cavan, Virginia Park Lodge is an elegant 18th-century Irish estate reimagined by chef-patron Richard Corrigan. Alongside its historic country house and cottages, the estate offers a collection of handcrafted shepherd huts nestled in Deerpark Forest. Built by Blackdown Shepherd Huts, these beautifully designed retreats provide a cosy and secluded escape in nature while remaining close to the lodge’s renowned dining and gardens.

Each hut is thoughtfully equipped with a wood burner, kitchenette, shower room and double bed, creating a comfortable woodland hideaway for couples looking to slow down and enjoy the peaceful Irish countryside.

Owned by celebrated Irish chef Richard Corrigan and his wife Maria, Virginia Park Lodge has been lovingly restored as a relaxed country estate with exceptional food at its heart. Corrigan, a two-Michelin-star chef, bought the historic lodge in 2013 and transformed it into a welcoming rural retreat.
